Job Description Job Responsibilities 
This is the first line manager within IFS Boston NAV accounting. Individuals Toin this role supervise the NAV accounting process in accordance with internal controls and procedures and are responsible for monitoring daily workflow of the group. 
"Supervise daily accounting operations and processes. 
"Motivate staff and answer or refer time sensitive questions Supervise the daily accounting process 
"May perform work activities similar to the team of employees that are being supervised 
"Supervise the daily position and PL reconciliation review 
"Assist in preparation of Dealing Date NAV packs 
"Opportunity to work with complex financial instruments 
"Identify and resolve work processing issues. Make suggestions to streamline operations. 
"Assist in semi-annualannual audits 
"Provide excellent client service 
"Participates in staff actions including employment, termination, performance and salary reviews , and performance improvement plans. Train and develop new staff. Complete performance appraisals and provide input on promotions and salary increases. 
"Assist management in the implementation of new policies and procedures.Assist team development 
 
Employee Specifications 
Individuals typically supervise 1 - 5 employees. 
Account Managers are internally focused and are held accountable for making sure that daily processes are performed accurately and in accordance with defined time frames. Consults with manager where clarification or exception to policy may be required. 
"Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business related area 
CPA a plus 
"Minimum 2 years in Fund Accounting preferably Hedge fund experience 
"Highly numerate 
"IT Literate 
"Strong verbal and written communication skills 
"Strong analytical skills 
"Ability to perform effectively within strict client deadlines 
"Good interpersonal, organizational, and attention to detail skills. 
"Ability to motivate staff to accomplish daily activities
