Selected candidate is responsible for leading and managing Software Quality Assurance and Process Engineering team on a large government program. Tasks include: directing systems engineering and software development staff compliance with Quality Management System; ensuring delivery of major and minor enhancements with concurrent maintenance of production; developing and maintaining the Quality Management System and Process Improvement Program; planning and coordinating the CMMI approach and schedule for large program. Perform process compliance assessments, recommend process improvements and corrective action. Monitor and track to closure approved corrective actions.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a field pertinent to this position. Minimum of eight years relevant professional experience is required.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated skills and experience developing and implementing Quality Assurance project plans. Work experience must include successful planning, collaboration, writing, and operational leadership of Quality Management plans. Experience is required in training program personnel on policies and procedures to be used in software and process engineering quality management. Knowledge and skills in industry benchmarking including ISO 9000 registrations and Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Models (CMMI and CMM) ratings. Experience performing process compliance assessments and recommending process improvements and corrective actions.
Desired Skills:
Certified Quality Auditor. Familiarity with healthcare related software applications. Familiarity with software applications used by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Skills and experience performing software requirements development, engineering, test, configuration management, deployment and maintenance.
