Job Description: As part of the online marketing group, assist the Director of Marketing and Manager of Design and User Experience in creation, implementation and maintenance of web sites and products.Position Requirements:•Responsible for execution of HTML template rollouts for multiple sites and/or projects •Maintain and update existing web-based products while maintaining and assuring integrity of user interface standards set by management •Learn and instruct others in company CMS best practices •Maintain current knowledge on standards and best practices in design and web site development •Assist in customization and delivery of related marketing materialsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred. (All exceptional portfolios will be considered) Experience: 1-2 years experience in related field preferred, with emphasis on design for both web & print.Equipment: Must be computer and Internet literate. Full familiarity with Adobe and Macromedia Design Suites, especially Photoshop and Dreamweaver. Must be able to work in a cross-platform (Mac/PC) environment. Skills/Abilities:•Ability to work under tight deadlines with multiple people and departments •Time management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload •Ability to manage the work of self and others •Must be thoroughly versed in (X)HTML structure and semantics •Must work fluently in CSS, and understand how to use CSS to abstract visual presentation from site structure as completely as possible •Must know how to test and assure fidelity of Web document structure and CSS across multiple client browsers and platforms •Knowledge of printing techniques and design strategies for print •Must be able to evaluate static graphic storyboards, such as Photoshop page images, quickly judge their suitability for Web presentation, and produce semantically sound (X)HTML/CSS Web versions from them. •Must understand how to integrate rich media objects (Flash, streaming or downloadable video) into Web pages and sites •Must understand how Web templates work in typical database content management systems: server-side includes, template nesting and forms of presentation logic (variables, loops, conditionals) that are common in dynamically delivered content Web sites •Must be a self-starter who can produce top-quality work on tight deadlines for multiple internal customers and departments •Must be an effective verbal, written and visual communicator, able to explain Web customer experience strategies patiently and clearly to peers and company executives alikeThe E.W.
