 Job Description: Responsibilities 

As an EI&C Technician for GE O&M, you will be responsible to maintain, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair plant instrumentation and control devices.Essential Functions 

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on electrical switchgear, process controls, transmitters, gauges and other instrumentation and control equipment in accordance with plant and vendor procedures. Receive, unload and correctly store parts and supplies in the plant.

Maintain, calibrate and repair plant EI&C devices.

Perform routine trouble shooting activities.

Assist in developing and performing PM procedures.

Implement plant improvements and modifications as assigned.

Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety and environmental procedures.

Provide documentation of work performed, supplies used, and other items that will be required to plan and control maintenance activities. Prepare records and reports as required.

Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean safe work environment and professional appearance.

Assist in the operation of plant equipment as needed.

High School Diploma or Equivalent or Vocational or Technical Education in Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls. 

Minimum of three years operation and maintenance experience in power generation facility or process plant.Eligibility Requirements

You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating.

You must be willing to submit to a physical and hearing exam upon hire.

You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

You must be able to climb stairs and ladders.

You must be able to stand up to 8 hours. Desired 


Minimum of two years technical training in electrical, instrumentation or controls.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and process drawings.

Minimum of two years of Gas Turbine Experience.

Minimum of two years machinery repair and control systems.

Possesses optimistic "can do" attitude.

Works and communicates well in team environment.

Possesses strong work ethic to perform "best job" on customer location.Growth Traits.

Strong mathmatical, oral and written communication skills.

Proficient with the use of power and precision tools.

Must have prior training and knowledge of Digital Control Systems, PLC's and ability to use and modify computer programs.

Ability to stand, walk, for up to 8 hours continuosly. Able to climb ladders and stairs. General
