Job Title: Paraprofessional - ELA General Assignment (7009)Department/School: Merrill Middle SchoolStarting Rate $10.77/hourWork Year/Schedule: 7 hours/day, 5 days/weekApplication Due Date: February 22, 2008 (REPOST)Position Start Date: ASAP Responsibilities: Provides language translation and interpreting skills to support teachers in the instruction of students, which includes but is not limited to: reading, writing, science, social studies, math, and other designated curriculum. Assists in conducting testing and assessment, general office and clerical tasks, record keeping, computer operation, and discipline. Assists in the development of lesson plans and provides feedback on individual students.Requirements: Must have demonstrated experience reading, writing and speaking in English and one or more designated languages. An Associate’s Degree or 48 college semester credit hours or a BS/BA degree or a passing score on the WorkKeys assessment test is required. Must successfully complete the second language test.
