Modality: Ultrasound Target start date: As soon as Possible Assignment length: 13 weeks Shift/workdays: mostly 3-11p eves with flexibility for call Call requirements: Yes Licensure/certifications req'd: American Registry of Radiologic Technology or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (required). BCLS. ARDMS/or Board Eligible ok we prefer multiple years of experience and someone who is registered. Special skills/experience desired: SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* - Vascular (corroted and venous studies) and general ultrasound a must! Obtain quality ultrasound images of patients 2. Manage all ultrasound equipment and recognize significant diagnostic information 3. Demonstrates ability to perform all necessary computer operations 4. Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner 5. Prepare ultrasound machine and perform quality control tests 6. Assist radiology nurse or radiologist in administering medications, performing biopsies and all types care to patient 7. Reviews each exam for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images 8. Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties 9. Completes and maintains educational requirements 10. Participates in various departmental process improvement activities Typical procedures preformed: OB, vascular, Abdomen, Pelvic Equipment type: Antares (Siemens) Female prefered? Yes, We do a lot of pelvics / transvaginal. Avg # of cases per shift: between 5-8 cases per shift Cost center: 729 Other helpful information: - would have to know vascular as well
