This position appraises vehicles and evaluates damages at tow yards, salvage yards, residences, drive-ins and repair facilities and negotiates repair costs. Work requires basic knowledge of appraisal theory and technique.
Must possess a solid understanding of automobile components, current values and repair facilities in order to resolve the repair or settlement of damage vehicles.
Work requires technical and analytical ability to make complex, accurate assessments of damage and reparability.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
Work requires the ability to work independently with minimum supervision while meeting established levels of production.
