 Job Description: Responsibilities 

* Supervise the Salzbergen Compliance team/provide work direction to meet Compliance & Certification team Goals & Objectives.* Lead Compliance & Certification programs for Europe & Asia Wind Turbine designs (system and component level), including CE marking requirements and GL cert driven activities.* Interface with Shanghai compliance TL to understand and drive implementation of Asia region compliance into the platforms.* Lead teams in Salzbergen/Shanghai in Interpretation of Code/Standards requirements and make practical application to equipment design teams from Order Inquiry phase through fulfillment execution.* Develop transiton plan with Asia TL for 100% ownership of Asia Compliance to Shanghai team.* Develop Compliance plans for New Product Intro. in applicable markets.* Ensure Engineering/Sourcing/Suppliers are executing compliance plan requirements in timely/cost effective manner. * Lead weekly compliance reviews with Business leadership.* Provide technical assistance to and be responsible for Notified Body/3rd party agency liaison interface for compliance issues during product development/execution.* Ensure appropriate EHSR documentation is completed for all platforms and maintained through Product life.* Interface with all impacted system owners and Sourcing /Suppliers to ensure successful overall compliance integration (specification language etc.). * Assist in resolving manufacturing, design and field problems for compliance issues.* Documentation control of compliance plans and final certification requirements (technical file maintenance).* Continually review existing and develop new processes required for executing compliance requirements.* Write Testing plans for components/systems and execute through compliance and certification. 

 Signature: ~CB~ Qualifications 

* BS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree. * Minimum of 8 years design engineering experience with part focus on compliance & certification. * Minimum of 2 years leadership/supervisory experience.* Green Belt Certification (GE Employees Only). * Must be fluent in both written and oral English skills. Desired 

* Must be familiar with applicable IEC standard (61400).* Familiarity with EHS regulations and ability to compile design compliance.* Project Management skills.* Must have demonstrated experience executing & implementing compliance plans in prior roles.* Must having working fluency with European Regulatory requirements by country with key focus on CE marking Directives, RoHS, WEEE & REACH Directives.* Ability to work with Global teams.* MS Mechanical or Electrical Engineering,* Knowledge of GE internal tools - Pegasus, eBOM, PEGASUS, DWB, COPICS, DART, TIMES etc.* Prior experience in the Wind Turbine engineering field. * Understanding of North American requirements (UL, CSA, NEC), to facilitate compliance flexibility.* Understanding of the GL guidelines document and general Wind Turbine certification requirements.* Familiarity with IEC 61508 & IEC 61511 Safety Integrity Level standard.* Must be a team player and ability to self-direct. * Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. * Demonstrated design creativity and problem solvingcapabilities. * Ability to demonstrate Influencing skills and Leadership skills.* Ability to speak multiple languages with fluency. General
