Position Overview
The Director, Quality Management - medicine / chronic disease service line is an essential member of Norton Healthcare System's leadership team. This is a system-level position working with leadership, staff and physicians of 3 adult hospitals and 1 pediatric hospital, reporting to a system VP.
We're looking for an experienced nurse with a strong leadership background as a nurse manager, nurse director or clinical leadership, interested in taking their career to the next level. In this high visibility role, the Director will actively work with the front-line staff, ops managment and physicians as well as executives to develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the service line's continued success. Ideal candidates will be dedicated to meeting goals and setting new benchmarks through a commitment to process improvement and design. Candidates should be innovative, creative thinkers with strong communication skills allowing them to work well with a variety of groups, individuals and disciplines. This position is ideal for a hard-working individual looking to make a direct impact and grow within our organization.
Key Accountabilities
Drive benchmark targets and goals through primary leadership of process improvement or re-design teams to create ideal care processes, clinical support processes, patient flow processes and operational processes
Stay abreast of current information for best practices for clinical care / support, patient flow and efficiency to select appropriate process targets for improvement initiatives
Utilize process improvement methodology to achieve goals and benchmarks
Utilize basic project management methods, primarily action planning and tracking and reporting tools
Ensure system standardization of relevant policies/procedures, physician orders, care processes, and patient flow that reflect best practice to achieve effectiveness and efficiency
Provide process improvement/redesign expertise and clinical knowledge, expertise and perspective as relevant to teams
Qualifications:
Masters in clinical or relevant administrative field
Minimum 5 years progressive leadership experience in a large hospital system
Combination Administrative and Clinical background
Experience in group leadership, development of clinical guidelines, project development and implementation, and use of process analysis and improvement, tools, data analysis and interpretation and use of data to guide decision-making
Clinical expertise required in relevant service lines
Additional Skills:

Innovative, creative thinking with strong communication skills
