Position
 Iowa Heart Center (IHC), a 61-member, single-specialty cardiovascular group, seeks a non-interventional cardiologist to join its group. The IHC physicians perform the full range of cardiac services, including open heart surgery, valve replacement, pacemaker and stent insertion, angioplasty, diagnostic catheterization, EP, lipid clinic, as well as echo and nuclear cardiography. This group serves a regional population of 200,000. There is minimal competition and little managed care. The market is expected to continue its growth due to the aging population.As a member of the IHC, physicians will appreciate the independence of working in a small group setting, while enjoying the benefits of one of the largest cardiology groups in the country. In house staff provides support in billing, coding, human resources, transcription, information technology and marketing. IHC offers physicians an electronic medial record (EMR) and remote access to digital test results.The hospital is a licensed, 200-bed, private, nonprofit hospital, that serves a nine-county area. It is a modern, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, a 40,000 square foot outpatient, ambulatory surgery center and two physician office buildings that house 70 physicians.An Ambulatory/Inpatient Care expansion and renovation project is under way and scheduled for completion in the Summer 2008. This 75,000 SF project includes an ambulatory surgery unit, a new, all private, 30-bed Inpatient Medical / Surgical Unit as well as physician office space, an auditorium, a new lobby, the admission office, a conference center, and an expanded cafeteria.Case Types
 Full office practice, interpret stress echos, nuclear studies, and perform inpatient care and emergency consultations Schedule/Call 

 Physicians see an average of 20 to 25 patients each day

 Physicians will perform outreach to communities within 25 miles
