 Overview: GENERAL PURPOSE Provide technical solutions to moderately complex business problems while working with senior technicians on more complex solutions.DISCLAIMERThis job description is general in nature and is not designed to contain or to be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.Position Information: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES• Interpret moderately complex business requirements• Analyze and develop moderately complex code designs with little to no direction• Proficient in knowledge and code performance for 1-3 business applications• Proficiently develop and execute unit test plans with little to no direction• Compile and write documentation to describe program development• Follow and support processes involving development lifecycle, SOX mandates, and change implementation• Analyze and resolve moderately complex bugs• Effective communication skills• Effective team membership• Able to receive and follow clear directions• Willingness to develop abilities• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.• Perform other assignments (or duties) as required.Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or other directly related quantitative discipline• One (1) or more years professional exempt systems development experience, preferred• Demonstrated knowledge and application of software engineering concepts, data base technologies• Must possess organizational, planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills• Must possess MS Office and Outlook skillsSkills Addendum • Minimum of two years experience in java development - Required• Proven knowledge of J2EE, JSP, Weblogic, SQL, &/or XML - Required• Experience with relational databases - Required• Ability to effectively communicate to business partners and technical peers - Required• Strong verbal and written skills - Required• Solid interpersonal skills - Required• Ability to work well in a team environment - Required• Experience with Visual Basic and Informatica - Preferred• Experience with reporting tools - Crystal &/or Cognos - Preferred• Experience with Web Services - Preferred• Experience with the SOA architecture - Preferred• Experience with DB2 and Oracle data base development - Preferred• Experience with the Eclipse IDE - Preferred• Experience using Struts, Swing, & JSF frameworks - Preferred• Knowledge of the product development life-cycle - Preferred
