'To provide technical assistance to the Manager Packaging Technology and the department Packaging Engineers in monthly data collection, calculations, evaluation, and reporting of key Brewery Operations performance metrics. In addition, provides assistance in the development of technical reports, presentations and evaluations needed for projects. The incumbent must be a self-starter and will be assigned project and analysis work at Corporate and the Breweries. Ability to travel is required. The intern position provides a developmental role for possible backfilling of future Packaging Engineer positions in Corporate and the Breweries, as well as the Management Trainee Program in the breweries. 
 
 'Support development and implementation of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) concepts, tools, techniques and processes to sustain a competitive advantage for manufacturing operations: 
 'Initiate and direct Productivity improvements in Packaging and Distribution. 
 'Establish and develop programs and procedures to reduce Beer and Material losses in meeting long-term business and financial objectives. 
 'Develop, identify and implement projects and support process improvements to sustain increased operating efficiencies and organizational capacity. 
 'Identify and implement cost savings opportunities. 
 'Manage and direct cross-functional disciplines impacting organizational change at brewery and corporate levels. 
 'Organize and run meetings to report progress on activities and projects. 
 'Minimum of a Junior undergraduate standing in Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate will have already earned a Bachelors' degree, and is working on a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business. 
 'Requires a high degree of knowledge and proficiency in the following areas: Analysis, Problem Solving, Mathematics, Presentation and Writing. 
 'Broad-based understanding of the Industrial Engineering discipline and World Class Manufacturing (WCM). 
 'Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel. 
 'Ability to work full time during the summer months. 
 'Ability to travel 50%. 
 'Ability to demonstrate Engineering skills through previous job experience or school projects. 
 'Very strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with people at all levels in the organization.
