Description:•Coordinate the activities of the restaurant personnel to provide fast and courteous service to guests.•Schedule restaurant reservations and arranges parties or special service for restaurant guests.•Greet guests, escort them to tables and provide menus.•Reconcile bills for guests, under the direction of the Restaurant Manager, if a complaint arises.•Inspect the dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness.•Control labor costs by phasing sections according to the business demand.•Perform other duties as assigned.Required Experience:KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:•Food service experience •Some knowledge of food service procedures.•Ability to make change quickly and accurately.•Ability to deal professionally, courteously and tactfully with the public and coworkers.•Ability to communicate and develop an effective working relationship with fellow associates, managers, outside representatives and agencies.•Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with co-workers and others.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1.Standing/walking: Frequently. Up to eight hours on cement, tile, carpeted surfaces. 2.Crouching: Occasionally. Pick up trays and inspect sidework. 3.Kneeling/crawling: Occasionally. Inspect sidework. 4.Stooping: Occasionally. Serve and speak with guests. 5.Twisting: Frequently. Monitor dining room and maneuver around tables and staff. 6.Balancing: Frequently. Carry trays of meal orders.7.Reaching(overhead/extension): Occasionally. Obtain supplies from higher storage areas. Arm’s length extension when serving guests.8.Handling / Grasping: Frequently. Pick up and place plates and glasses, open wine.9.Fingering / Feeling: Frequently. Write, operate cash register, computer keyboard.10.Pushing/pulling: Frequently: Kitchen carts. Average weight: 10 lbs force. Maximum weight: 20 lbs force.11.Lifting / carrying : Frequently. Trays of meal orders. Average weight: 25 lbs.
