Conduct research and analysis of Public Law, Executive Orders, and Federal regulations, plans, and guidance related to consequence management, homeland security, emergency preparedness, and continuity of operations planning. Assist in the development of plans, training, and exercises for Federal, State, Local, and Host Nation governments to respond to threats, intentional acts, or accidents involving chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high yield explosive (CBRNE) materials. Be part of SAIC project team developing, conducting, controlling, and evaluating an on-going series of exercises for DoD and Interagency clients to validate plans, procedures, and training for responding to and managing the consequences of an accident or incident involving CBRNE anywhere in the world.
Employee will also assist in the development of white papers, talking papers, and briefings, as required. Work will be conducted at SAIC facilities and at customer sites in the Northern Virginia and Washington D. C. area. Employee may be required to travel domestically and overseas, as directed by the client. Total time spent on travel not expected to exceed 20%.
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree (BA or BS) in a field related to Political Science, International Relations, National Security Studies, Emergency Management, or Homeland Security; or a combination of education and experience in a related field and 3+ years of experience
Required Skills:
Ability to speak and write clearly. Experience in MS Office Suite. Proficient Research Skills. Experience with contracting or federal government.
Desired Skills:
Understanding of the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the National Response Plan (NRP). Knowledge of US policy regarding consequence management assistance, domestic/foreign. Experience with DoD client base.
