Maintain DOT and driver files. Assist the Transportation Supervisor in reviewing completeness of hiring packets; assist in conducting driver/safety meetings. Conduct driver meetings in the absence of the Transportation Supervisor. Supervise the Transportation Clerk in DOT and Driver file, and safety management processes. Train Transportation Clerk in Dispatch operations for Department 73. Assist in developing driver and office personnel training packets. Assist maintaining department management data developed for the efficient management of the department. Coordinate with Corporate Transportation and Safety Departments for all required correspondence.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (Associates Degree is preferred) and be computer literate: experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook along with automated dispatch software experience and GPS tracking tools. Have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and have the ability to make on the spot decisions.
