JOB PURPOSE:Supervision of the corporations tax compliance and accounting for income taxes in the areas of U.S., Foreign, State and Local taxation.Supervision of a Tax Manager/Staff level associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide financial information to service providers (external accounting firms) for completion of federal and state income tax returns
Coordinate and supervise the preparation of sales, property, franchise and intangible tax returns using outside service providers and/or internal tax associates
Calculate quarterly and annual FAS109 tax provision
Assist and conduct with federal, state and local audits
Manage staff including work load scheduling, goal setting and performance coaching
Job Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Masters degree in Tax is preferred
CPA designation
8-12 years tax experience
5 years public accounting experience with federal and state tax experience.
Thorough knowledge of FAS109
knowledge of both mainframe systems and PC applications
Strong financial analytical expertise
Strategic planning and development skills
Project management skills
Ability to multi-task while still meeting deadlines
Oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
Computer proficiency in both accounting mainframe systems and PC applications
Advanced language/communication skills
Advanced mathematical skills
