 Job Description: Responsibilities 

Develops practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. Is responsible for work that is less defined in scope and has the understanding and experience to execute business objectives. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.* Serve as solution delivery expert for the design and implementation of assigned application areas.* Accountable for operational excellence of assigned program(s), with duties including project reviews, feasibility, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, initiation, execution and closure for all project work related to the program.* Manage budgets and contracts associated with program(s) or initiative(s).* Manage activities of project team resources to support and deliver solutions relating to the program(s).* Maintain effective working relationships with peers and vendors to seamlessly integrate the program area into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization.* Coordinate program support activities, including the development of internal and external communications, establishing roadmaps and benchmarks, and developing training plans.* Lead the analysis, requirement development, design, documentation, implementation and maintenance of small to medium IT solutions for business processes.* Support, advise, assist and resolve problems for client leaders and users.* Work as a business partner with client leaders and users to evaluate/improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions.* Ensure conformance to system architecture, standards and practices.* Prepare and present project plans, status reports and cost/benefit studies.* Initiate direct communication with specific customers, clients, suppliers and systems personnel.* Keep up to date with enabling technologies and work as a partner to promote their use.* Lead in the evaluation/implementation of third party software solutions. Qualifications 

* Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in an IS project management and program planning role).* At least 3 additional years of experience with current information technologies and their implementation into the business function. Desired 

* Proven leadership skills in business planning, engineering, and information technology.* Proven interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and organizational skills.* Extensive project management skill and experience.* Strong background in CAD and PDM implementations in large businesses and their use within the engineering and manufacturing functions.* Specific experience in Unigraphics NX and/or AutoCAD/Inventor and customizations to meet desired business processes.* Ability to think strategically in applying emerging information technologies to engineering and manufacturing processes and initiatives.* Ability to lead change and build consensus based on sound technical and business judgment.* Ability to leverage global resources for solution delivery.* Experience using Six Sigma tools and techniques to drive change.* Quality and cost driven. General 

Position Overview:* Develop and own the CAD solutions strategy for GE Energy.* Work closely with counterparts in GE Aviation and Transportation to achieve further synergies in our strategies and best practices across the GE Infrastructure businesses.* Lead the analysis, requirements, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of CAD tool solutions.* Lead/resolve tactical issues as the Technical Manager for CAD Tools, working with the Support and Operations teams in accordance with change management procedures and policies.* Manage multiple projects concurrently using Project Management Methodology.* Resolve conflicts with technologies and business processes and identify common solutions.* Act as subject matter expert, partnering with multiple business clients and stakeholders to evaluate and improve business processes and determine technology solutions.* Be a change leader for integrating current and emerging information technologies into sustainable business solutions.* Certain relocation benefits may be discussed at time of offer.GE Overview: Why join one great company when you can join many?
