Job Description: Responsibilities
Provide overall technical ownership for the Gas Turbine (GT) platform used in the ACC Power Plant throughout its life cycle.Responsible for the mechanical & electrical integration of the GT and its direct accessories. Work with the other ACC Power Plant SILs to ensure that all Steam Turbine, Generator, Controls, and BOP interfaces are correctly configured. Coordinate design configuration trade offs and key design decisions across sub-systems including turbine, compressor, combustor, accessory & packaging systems, applications, and performance.Responsible for driving key technology metrics to maximize customer impact and platform profitability by making trades between product cost, performance, reliability, and operability into Value.Work directly with Product Line Management to define the product specification and ensure that the GT platform is positioned correctly to meet the business level CTQs.Work directly with the ACC Power Plant Program Managers to ensure that the correct level and type of engineering resources are applied to the various NTI and NPI ACC programs.Provide leadership in the S1/S2 technology planning process, coordinate and lead NPI tollgate reviews, and approve design change instructions.Provide leadership and act as the focal point for all GT related validation and testing efforts.Provide leadership for resolution of major field/customer issues related to the GT platform and document applicable lessons learned.

* BS degree in Engineering.* Minimum 12+ years of related or similar professional work experience.* Green Belt certified (GE employees only). Desired
* MS or equivalent Advanced degree. * BB/MBB Certified (GE employees only).* Prior engineer/technology leadership experience.* Experience managing technology programs across multiple functional organizations.* In depth knowledge of the GE Heavy Duty Power Gen product line, its design, construction, and manufacture. * Multi-discipline engineering experience. * Basic Knowledge of overall Power Plant design and economics.* Demonstrated ability to manage and influence in a matrix environment. * Demonstrated ability to formulate win-win strategies between competing factors. * Basic understanding of the technology and life-cycle economics of the gas turbine subsystem as an element of the overall power plant system. * Ability to understand, define, and communicate interrelationships between component design features and system function/performance. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Willingness/ability to accept challenges outside of technical expertise/comfort zone.
