Job Description: Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and coaching to test directors as they execute test planning and execution activities.* Establish and manage test director training program.* Ensure rigor in the completion of all pre/post test activities, readiness reviews, predictions, risks, operational limits, decision trees, and reports.* Drive rigor in application of validation processes and make significant contributions for improvement and creation of process.* Serve as co-chair of Test Review Board.* Provide back-up test support (as necessary). Qualifications
* Minimum of 8+ years of related engineering experience.* BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.* Minimum of 1+ year(s) of experience planning, directing, reporting and documenting at least one large scale field validation tests, or associated activities.* Green Belt or Black Belt certified (GE employees only).* Minimum of 1+ year(s) experience in working with power plant systems and/or components.* Fundamental understanding and 1+ year(s) of minimum experience working with instrumented components, instrumentation equipment, data collection and processing, on-line and post test data analysis.* Minimum of 1+ year(s) experience communicating to all levels and coaching peers and/or team members. * Solid understanding of Power Plant, Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine and Generator operation. * Systems level mindset.* Hands on experience with GE Energy products.* Green Belt or Black Belt certified (GE employees only).* Familiar with fundamental program tools and processes (DCI, Times, Pegasus, EI's, ETOS).* Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.* Demonstrated leadership of large cross-functional teams.
