Relevant Experience, Skills & Knowledge2 years experience in the electronics distribution industry or related sales, purchasing or product management functions. Preferred background includes experience in inventory, sales, warehouse, customer services and/or expediting.Requires thorough knowledge of company product lines, with specific subject matter expertise regarding assigned accounts. Requires good knowledge of inventory management.Excellent communication, sales, and negotiation skills are essential.Scope & Breadth•Perform a wide range of major sales activities, including handling customer requirements, proposals, negotiations, and administering company sales policies and procedures.•Negotiate with senior buyers, purchasing agents and key customer personnel. Quote all product lines as required by customer needs. Prepare, propose and negotiate total fixed or flexible bid packages for one time or contract orders.•Provide customer with product availability, product substitution options and pricing information.•Negotiate terms of delivery for contract sales. Develop credit extensions, increase credit ceilings and negotiate payment terms. Negotiate product modification and pricing options. Negotiate all such services and costs with the customer in an effort to secure an order.•Daily telephone contact with clients to promote product offerings, services and capabilities.•Respond to client information requests.•Monitor and control response to client requirements for initial contact or order fulfillment.•Negotiate testing, product modification, programming or laboratory quality control service and pricing options.•Regularly interface with product management and customer service, field sales, manufactures, representatives and line and corporate management to outline plans and to secure successful sales in local market.
