 Fargo Production Supervisor Position

Basic Function:
Responsible for planning, organizing and managing the effective utilization of people, materials, equipment and manufacturing processes within the assigned department to meet safety, production schedule, quality, inventory, cost and delivery objectives. 
 
Position Responsibilities:
1. Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to and enforcing CNH safety programs, policies and regulations. 
2. Supervises and directs hourly employees in the production of parts, components and finished products to meet established productivity targets and when missing these targets to develop and implement corrective action plans.
3. Producing quality parts and finished goods that meet established quality goals. 
4. Administers operating budgets and monitors results to assure departmental objectives are achieved.
5. Maintain required levels of inventory and develop and implement corrective action plans when required. 
6. Perform continuous improvement activities aimed at enhancing safety, efficiency, quality and costs. 
7. Develops and maintains positive employee relations within the guidelines of company policy.
8. Human resource activities such as employee selection, pay administration, employee counseling, training, performance reviews, discipline for hourly employees, and the administration of policies and agreements.
9. Monitors and coordinates the maintenance of equipment in department to meet work schedule.
10. Administers and facilitates time standards in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering to maintain fair and proper standards throughout department.
11. Implements company strategies and process change at the operational level of the organization.

Position Competencies:
1. Working knowledge of materials, tooling, machine tools, and manufacturing processes.
2. Proficient in the use of computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
3. Ability to analyze and utilize data dealing with budgets and departmental objectives.
4. Working knowledge of Manufacturing Control systems.
5. Working knowledge of a safety management programs. 
6. Knowledge and experience in data base software, project software, Cad/cam software, and Industrial Engineering Processes are all considered assets. 
7. Other desired competencies include: Communication, Customer Focus/Orientation, Managing and Developing Others, Flexibility, Good judgment, Initiative, Results Orientation, Team leadership. 

 
Requirements: 

BDesired Education and Experience:
1. A Bachelors Degree (Business or Engineering desired) preferred OR a minimum of 2 years Supervisory experience in a Heavy Manufacturing Environment required.
2. Previous supervision and leadership experience is an asset. 
3. Cross-functional experience (Quality, Materials, Engineering, Human Resources, Safety) will be considered an asset.
4. Experience participating and leading Continuous Improvement activities is considered an asset.
