Description 

 In this position, you will be a key technical contributor to the development and verification of new system on chip silicon products for digital television and network media products. As a member of the Digital Home Group board engineering team, you will be working in a cross functional team to develop and execute test plans which will verify new silicon functionality and adherence to electrical specifications in a development and/or reference platform and assist in debug and root cause of issues as they occur. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 
- Interacting with architecture, design, system-level simulation, platform, BIOS and validation engineering, for a high degree of collaboration and leverage in the validation phase 
- Evaluating test specifications, requirements, strategies and methodologies for electrical validation 
- Reviewing, tracking, documenting and summarizing test results 

 
 

 Qualifications 

 You should be pursuing a Bachelor, a Master of Science or a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and/or Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or similar degree. Additional qualifications include: 
- Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills 
- Knowledge of: Linux* and Windows* operating systems and drivers, modern PC architecture and usage models including processors, Basic Input Output System (BIOS), and common system busses including Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI), PCIX*, PCI-Express*, DDR2, Serial ATA (SATA), Universal Serial Bus (USB), HDMI and others 
- A self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team 
- Knowledge and experience using standard lab equipment to support validation activities, such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, soldering irons and logic analyzers 
- Knowledge of audio and video industry standards and test methods would be an added advantage
