The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will perform Design Assurance activities for both internal and external designs in support of Electronic Warfare Systems business area products. These duties will support the completion of all Assurance Engineering Design Review Activities including: review of design for performance, reliability, testability, and producibility, and perform failure analyses of all design and manufacturing related failures observed during the development phase of the program.
 
 Evaluate, implement, and measure Software Quality Assurance programs in accordance with customer and Avionics requirements. Implement Software Quality Assurance techniques and metrics to contribute to the efficiency of software development at ITT Avionics.
 
 Works independently, with moderate supervision, to implement and evaluate Software Quality Assurance (SQA) programs to satisfy customer requirements.
 
 
 
 'Assists in proposal efforts to assess customer requirements pertaining to SQA.
 'Adheres to schedules to implement SQA programs in coordination with the software development and test schedules, project schedules, and budgets.
 'Evaluates software development activities with respect to contractual compliance; identifies noncompliance and provides documentation to facilitate corrective action. Prepares and submits reports and analyses.
 'Assists in the investigation and evaluation of software quality assurance practices and policies, including changes in software industry standards, for application in process improvement or development.
 'Interfaces with software engineering and/or management personnel, regarding matters pertaining to SQA and software certification; participates as a team member in customer and third party evaluations.
 'Provides application of computer software knowledge in the development and maintenance of automated software applications for Product Assurance.
 'Utilizes Software Metrics and Technical Performance Measures to track trends that enable identification of corrective action to resolve technical and process problems.
 
 The ability to obtain a 'Secret' security clearance. 

Experience Requirements:
 BS in Engineering or Computer Science
 At least 3 years or a demonstrable competence in Software Development and/or Software Quality Assurance
 
 Working knowledge of software development principles and practices, understanding of auditing practices, comprehension of the SQA role in software development, and the application of these concepts to a Software Quality Program.
