Woodfords Family Services In-Home Support Program is seeking energetic, positive people to join them as Family Support Specialists. The In-Home Support Program provides services to children who have Autism and Mental Retardation.
Work with the individual and the support community to implement developed goals and objectives that will allow independent growth and development.Function as part of a treatment team focused on the needs of the individual.Provide hands-on, one-on-one support to the individual in the areas of daily living, social interaction, behavior management and communication.Manage a variety of moderate to severe disruptive behaviors exhibited in individual or group settings, including adjustment reactions to new or changing environments.Provide work schedules, summaries of progress on goals and objectives, and other required paperwork to assigned Field Supervisor on a bi-weekly basis.Document data according to MaineCare and programmatic guidelines.Complete all reports and other required paperwork in a timely manner.

Job Requirements
The Family Support Services program has openings for Behavioral Health Professionals to work with children who have autism and/or mental retardation. Hours are flexible, but non-traditional. They typically cover periods of time between mid-afternoon and early evening. Most positions are casual (under 20 holurs per week) or Part-time (20-25 hours per week). Ability to provide full-time hours is extremely limited. Acceptable candidates must possess a valid Maine drivers' license, use of a reliable vehicle and the ability to be flexible and to work independently. Good written communicationskills are important.
Education Requirements
Have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have relevant life experience that includes, but is not limited to, post-high school or equivalent education or other specialized training such as paid or volunteer work or care for a family member.
