Job Description: Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to railroad hourly employees, providing clear direction on the job they are to perform, including all appropriate documentation. Interpret and insure adherence to GE work scopes. Encourage and maintain safe work environment. Maintain clean and orderly work areas. Responsible for FRA compliance, OSHA work practices, and specific local customer safety policies. Provide feedback to other GE teams for updates to work. Qualifications
-BS in Engineering OR HS diploma/GED plus 5 years experience in industrial operations or 5 years military leadership experience.-Min 1+ years experience in Microsoft office applications.Eligibility Requirements: - You must submit your application for employment through www.gecareers.com or the internal COS system to be considered.- You must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process.- You must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process.-You must have unrestricted authorization to work in US. -Ability to work in shop environment (for example: navigate up and down ramps and stairs, non air conditioned environment).- Customer service or contract experience.- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.- Locomotive experience with Dash 8, Dash 9 and AC models.- Willingness to work various shifts various days.
