John Deere Agriculture Equipment is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply management, and manufacturing and/or distribution organizations to assure John Deere product quality meets the customers' expectations. In this position, you will:
Facilitate Project Risk Assessment Meetings.
ArrangeFacilitate System and Design FMEA.
Participate in System/subsystem/Part Level Preliminarydetailed Design reviews.
Prepare Audit and Inspection plans.
Reviewapproval PPAP.
Creation of Temporary Deviations.
Perform Process Verification Audits internally and at supplier sites.
Perform Supplier Quality Audits.
Prepare Control Plan Summary.
Perform Gauge RRCapability Studies.
Determine Key Characteristics using Design teams.
Analyze warranty data, Product Improvement Program information, Satisfaction First comments and indices, Internal Quality data etc. for performing Part Level Quality Planning.
Trackfollow up on all action items/Mistake proofing etc. results from DPAR, FMEA, Build activities, Audits, E-builds etc.
Participate in E-Build Meetings.
Prepare Inspection Plans with appropriate check sheets.
Prepare Shake Down Audit Plans.
Perform RQAPQA.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in a Engineering/Technology discipline orASQ certification(CQE/CQM) and6-10 years ofexperience in a quality engineering position in a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills and Experience
2+ years experience in a quality engineering position in a manufacturing environment.
Experience conducting Gauge RR and Capability studies.
Knowledge of GDT (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
Corrective/preventive action process knowledge.
Quality tools facilitation skills such as DPARFMEA.
Detailed APQP/PPAP/QS9000 knowledge.
Knowledge on Process Control Plan preparation.
Knowledge of process monitoring using SPC.
Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, quality.
Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.
Experience in use of statistical tools and techniques for quality management.
Desired Skills and Experience
Quality Planning Tracking System.
Mistake Proofing.
Root Cause Analysis.
MS Office.
Statistica or Minitab.
Experience using Vis Mock up/Vis View software.
