Description
The Configuration Technician is responsible for installing and configuring a high volume of computers, printers and other products for customers on a daily basis.
Essential Functions:
Configure customers systems to their required specifications.
Ensure that customers receive the highest level of customer service by properly configuring customer orders with 100% quality.
Maintain minimum monthly productivity quotas.
Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including hardware, software and peripheral equipment.
Keeping track of individual units configured.
Communicate issues concerning customer orders to the area Help Desk or Team Leader.
Additional Responsibilities:
Keep working area clean and organized at all times.
Perform any additional duties assigned by management.
Obtain certifications and continually learn new technology.

Configuration Center Sr. Supervisor
Configuration Center Manager
Configuration Center Technician cannot have anyone reporting to them.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED.
Must be able to lift, push, and pull 21 to 50 pounds of force occasionally (0-33% of the workday), and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently (0-66% of the workday).
Must be able to stand for 8+ hours each day.
Analytical skills and the ability to solve problems.
Ability to quickly learn about new technology and keep pace with an ever-changing industry.
Ability to assemble and disassemble computer equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree
A+ Certification
Knowledge of computer components and configuration of various types of computers, as demonstrated by previous experience building and installing computers.
An in-depth understanding of computers.
Work Environment:
The environment is in a warehouse area location. Individuals in this position are constantly standing and/or walking. Frequent lifting is required, as well as some stooping, kneeling and crouching. The general work hours will be 2:00pm to 11:00pm. Occasionally; it will be necessary for this individual to work beyond their regularly scheduled shift. Overtime is to be expected and in some cases required. In addition, a rotation of one Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm in every four weeks will be required. One Sunday per year may also be required.
