Description 

 

The Head Down Displays Center (HDDC) has an opening for an Electrical Engineer. The HDDC is responsible for designing displays for commercial and military avionics as well as ground vehicles. This position will be responsible for the design and support of the display head which includes the AMLCD, backlight, and associated electronics. This position will require working in a team environment with mechanical and optical engineers. This individual should be a self starter, and be able to perform detail design with minimal supervision. Knowledge of Earned Value, Risk Management, and project scheduling are desirable. 

 

The candidate should have design experience in two or three of the following areas: 

 

1) Familiarity with AMLCDs used for avionics 

2) Power supply design experience 

3) Understanding of LED electrical paramters 

4) High speed digital electronics related to LCD display operation 

5) Basic understanding of optical system design 

 

Experience with optical design and testing is a plus. 

 

 

 
 

 Qualifications 

 

Applicant must be capable of obtaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required. 

 

 

This position requires a Bachelors Degree in applicable engineering or science field or six years of related exempt experience.
