Job Description Summary This is a skilled position requiring the individual to manage a variety of tasks and personnel in a retail stone yard. Essential Duties and Responsibilities ?Supervise yard employees and coordinate daily yard activities ?Ensure good working relations with contractors and customers ?Prepare reports for guidance by management ?Ensure good working relations with other employees and managers ?Provide customer service and sales service ?Ensure efficient, timely deliveries ?Direct and un-load in-coming freight ?Operate loader, forklift, trucks, and other yard equipment ?Ensure yard is clean, organized, and operating safelySupervisory Responsibilities None Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience ?High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Three to four years previous management / supervisory experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.Language Skills ?Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills ?Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, percent, land to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability ?Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions Computer Skills ?To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations ?Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
