The Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Public Health, is seeking highly qualified candidates for our IFS Data Manager position.
 


The Data Manager will be responsible for the on-going evaluation and upkeep of the database for the IFS department. Responsibilities include expanding the database and running queries for managers on the local and county level. Access experience is a must. The Data Manager position will collect, analyze and complete monthly, quarterly, and as requested reports Also provide other duties as needed by the IFS Department.
 Duties include but are not limited to: 

 Under broad supervision, reports to IFS Program Manager. 

 Provides quarterly analytical reports regarding IFS implementation and processes.

 Provides monthly data reports to IFS Staff, PH, DFCS and MH as required by caseloads. 

 Identifies trends in data and reports data in monthly reports 

 Creates and runs special queries as needed 

 Develops/maintains/improves the IFS database as needed 

 Collects/organizes and inputs IFS data into the IFS database monthly and as needed.

 

Qualifications

Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related field
 AND
 Two years of experience in analyzing data, using statistical software packages, writing reports, and providing training and/or consultation on these topics. 
 
 

NOTE: Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis, if evaluated as equivalent. 
 

Preference will be give to applicants who, in addition to meeting the above requirements, possess knowledge/experience in one or more of the following: 

 Access Experience 
Experience with Research Evaluation
Demonstrated use of most recent versions of statistical analysis tools; excellent analytical skills, excellent communication skills
