 The Georgia Department of Human Resources, Division of Public Health, is seeking highly qualified candidates for our IFS Lead Educator position. 

 

Under broad supervision, this position serves as the point person relating to program partners and local agencies. The Lead Educator assures the integrity of the SafeCare model as it is used in the field. This position provides training, coaching and guidance to field trainers and staff regarding application of SafeCare. Participates as a member of the IFS leadership Team 

 Duties include but are not limited to: 

Serve as point person for our partners in the IFS/SafeCare work; Marcus institute, Ga State and all others as identified. 

 Provides training to local agency staff, i.e. DFCS, PH, MH or private agency staff and develop/conduct trainings as identified by staff, reports and data, as needed. 

 Provides fidelity reviews/visits to ensure proper execution of the SafeCare model. 

 Evaluate and provide feedback to division trainers who train staff on the SafeCare model. 

 Participate in monthly IFS meetings and provide feedback concerning program fidelity and execution. 

 Assist IFS Administrative Ops. Coordinator in preparing data slides/PowerPoints for IFS monthly meetings.

 Provide support or represent the Senior Director, for presentations or meetings regarding SafeCare, with other internal or external agencies
 

 

 

Qualifications

Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
 AND
 5 years experience working in Human Services field in either public or private settings, with 2 years of experience in a leadership position over geographically dispersed teams. Must have experience designing, developing and delivering training to adults
 
 

NOTE: Experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis, if evaluated as equivalent. 
 

Preference will be give to applicants who, in addition to meeting the above requirements, possess knowledge/experience in one or more of the following: 

 Bachelors Degree
Programmatic experience
Training experience
Knowledge of the SafeCare Model
Knowledge of Child Development, and Health Education and Promotion
