Job Description:
Assists in the implementation, management and improvement of the hospital's Infection Control Program by collecting, reporting and analyzing data; identifying and addressing opportunities for improvement; coordinating activities, and supporting the development and implemtation of medical staff and hospital infection control performance improvement inititatives. Assists in achieving compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards.
Job Requirements:
College degree related to Infection Control/Healthcare Minimum of 2 years Infection Control experience. Certification (e.g, CIC) and/or Master's degree preferred. Knowledge and experience with computers is necessary,
Facility Information:
On August 23rd 2002, The George Washington University Hospital moved all services from the old building at 901 23rd Street directly across the street to a brand new $96 million new facility. Over $20 million of medical equipment was purchased over the last 2-3 years. It was moved to the new hospital along with an additional $25 million in new equipment.
