Delaware State University, an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference is seeking applications for Associate Athletic Director of Internal Operations. Delaware State University is conveniently located in Dover, Delaware, the capital of the state, conveniently located south of Philadelphia, east of Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Position reports directly to the Director of Athletics. Position is responsible for leading the athletics department’s NCAA and MEAC rules compliance, supervising selected sports, and overseeing the CHAMPS Life Skills Program, and Student Athlete Advisory committee.
Delaware State University athletics department consists of 18 teams, 350 student athletes and 60 coaches / staff. Primary compliance responsibilities include rules education of coaches, staff, student-athletes and boosters; Monitoring of recruiting activities, playing and practice seasons, camps/clinics; oversight of official / unofficial visits and letters of intent; interpretations of MEAC and NCAA bylaws, maintenance of compliance monitoring procedures. Manage the grant in aid / athletic scholarship process. Serve as an athletics department liaison to Student Accounts, Office of Financial Aid, and Registrar Office. Utilize computer programs such as the NCAA Compliance Assistant and LSDBi.
The Associate Athletics Director for Internal Operations will have sport supervision assigned by the Director of Athletics. The position has direct responsibility for overseeing the following programs: CHAMPS Life Skills Program and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Other duties may be assigned by the Athletics Director.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree and at least three years progressively successful experience with increased responsibilities in compliance, sports administration, academics, or similar field required; working knowledge of NCAA rules compliance in an NCAA Division I program preferred.
