 Job Description: Responsibilities 

* Manages direct team of 2-3 resources in North America, and supervises 25 person team out outsourced consultants.* Oversees global tax account reconciliations for GE Real Estate ("RE"), including coordinating with CAS in connection with audits of such reconciliations,* Prepares the consolidated ETR reconciliation for RE and reviews the ETR reconciliations of individual business platforms,* Reviews deferred tax asset and deferred tax liability balances with the businesses and Director of Global Tax Operations,* Supervises documenting and supporting all significant financial accounting positions taken with respect to any tax accounts,* Coordinates and reviews the SOX 404 process with respect to tax functions and extending to serve as integral "real-time" controllership review,* Assists in preparing periodic reports (e.g., quarterly ETR walks, unusual item reports, KPMG quarterly disclosures, etc.),* Ensures the adequacy and function of all tax processes and information systems used within the RE businesses,* Preparing and coordinating the FP&A tax submissions for periodic planning purposes,* Developing new systems, reports and schedules to improve the visibility into source data, and the ability to reconcile and control tax data flows,* Monitor qualification of entities for AFE/ARE purposes,* Oversee process for proper identification of currency hedges for tax purposes (requirements differ from FAS 133 identification process), * Assist in the implementation and control of IT systems, digitized processes, and outsourcing of tax functions, and* Assist the Director of Global Tax operations in reviewing the accounting consequences of tax planning activities, functional currency matters and performing certain aspects of transactional support. Qualifications 

* BS in Accounting or Finance or equivalent, MBA and Masters in Taxation. * A minimum of 12 years of experience with Tax Department of US accounting firm or US multinational company.* Strong knowledge of US tax rules (both domestic and international)* Extensive experience with tax accounting principles (FIN 48 and FAS 109) and SOX 404.* Proven ability to design and execute large scale projects in a complex environment.* Excellent communication skills. Role will require effective collaboration with senior management, business teams, ES HQ tax and Corporate Tax.* Ability to leverage multiple functions in a complex matrixed organization.* Experience with financial accounting software.
