 Job Description: Responsibilities 

As the Tax Compliance Leader with GE Commercial Finance, Real Estate, this individual: * Coordinates and reviews world-wide tax compliance activities of GE Real Estate ("RE") with respect to all US and foreign income and indirect taxes.* Works in a matrixed environment, partnering with GE corporate tax and RE tax team and will also be responsible for managing outside consultants.* Directly oversees and leads preparation of the U.S. tax return submissions for RE, including:* Managing review of accounts and records to ensure proper computation of returns;* Working together with Tax Reporting and Analysis Leader for RE to perform account to return reconciliations;* Serves as primary contact with GE corporate tax's compliance group on matters such as FSE tests and other analytic submissions.* Working with RE tax planners, responsible for ensuring that consequences of transactions are properly memorialized and reflected on returns;* Manages global eCompliance activities for RE;* Reviews and coordinates local tax compliance activities of poles (including U.S. state and local and international);* Conducts regular reviews of international tax returns (income and indirect)* Assists Director of Global Tax Operations with making periodic reports to Global Tax Director and RE finance group on audit risk and FIN 48 exposure;*Coordinates tax audit activities for RE, including overseeing preparation of QAR's, responding to requests from corporate tax audit teams, and state audit teams, etc;*Directs global transfer pricing processes and maintains defense position binders;*Interfaces with Director of Global Tax Operations and Tax Reporting and Analysis Leader to validate assumptions in Tax FP&A processes ;*Directly oversees team of Norwalk based GE tax professionals and three-plus consultants based in Norwalk during U.S. tax return preparation season (one based in Norwalk year round). Qualifications 

* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Juris Doctor (JD) with significant practical US tax experience involving with complex compliance activities;* Minimum of 12+ year of tax experience;* Demonstrated ability to manage others, both directly and indirectly, and to operate effectively in a matrixed environment;* Experience managing teams of indirect resources, outsourced consultants and surge resources;* Extensive practical experience with performing FAS 109 reviews and FIN 48;* Experience with U.S. international tax matters.YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT.- You must submit your application for employment through gecareers.com to be considered (Internals via COS)- You must be 18 years or older- You must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process- You must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process- You must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States - You must be willing to work out of an office in Norwalk, CT.- Note that there is a uniformly required employee non-solicit agreement for this position.For U.S. employment opportunities, GE hires U.S. citizens, permanent residents, asylees, refugees, and temporary residents.
