Knowledge of local area transportation community including owners, special authorities, key stakeholders, and short and long-range transportation improvement plans is preferred. Experience with corridor planning, NEPA/CEQA, and resource agency processes is required.The Project Manager reports to a Project Delivery Leader or Work Group Leader and has accountability to the Southwest Transportation Business Group for successful business development and project execution when managing projects. Manages small to large size projects and is the leader/manager of project teams and is supported by technical task leaders as needed. Specific responsibilities include leadership in the application of CH2M HILL"s Project Delivery System to achieve the following project delivery strategic objectives: health, safety, environmental responsibility; client expectations for quality, schedule, and budget; financial performance for project specific targets; project team expectations; operational performance and business unit expectations; and quality. Additionally, the Project Manager is responsible for the identification of schedule and cost variances and the development and implementation of recommendations for corrective action for negative variances. The Project Manager also has a responsibility to help grow the PM resources of the firm through coaching of Associate PMs and task managers. The Project Manager will be asked to participate in business development activities to support growth in the transportation business group.CH2M HILL.
