Job Position Details

Job Title: X-Ray Service Engineer II

Location: Riverside, CA

Qualifications: Combination of five (5) years educational and/or experience in field service of nuclear medicine maintenance. Certification or eligibility of certification by AAMI as Certified Biomedical Electronic Technician preferred. Must be capable of communicating with professional medical personnel, extensive travel, and extended working hours. Must have and maintain valid California drivers license. Must have average written communication skills. A personal vehicle is required for company business.

Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years emergency service of two (2) or more major x-ray equipment lines plus two (2)to four (4)years of repair/maintenance/calibration of x-ray systems. Thorough knowledge in the use of diagnostc software and a variety of test equipment utilized in troubleshooting. Ability to Service Diagnostics. In depth knowledge of digital imaging systems and video chains. Current experience in troubleshooting PACS/networking problems.Ability todocument all service activity through our regional service dispatch system. Strong customer satisfaction skills. 

Duties: Repairs X ray equipment malfunctions as determined by analysis. This may include, but is not limited to, troubleshooting using oscilloscope, digital volt/ohm meter, high voltage divider radiation meters, and imaging phantoms. Repairs may consist of replacing individual components, printed circuit boards, X ray tubes, and other defective components as found. Performs preventive maintenance inspections of X ray and allied equipment. This consists of calibrating the kilovoltage, milliamps time, average and maximum patient dose to manufacturer's specifications and regulatory requirements. Also mechanical and electrical operation check to determine any abnormalities. Conducts acceptance checks of new equipment as per established guidelines to insure that equipment meets purchase specifications. Also conducts operator in service training. Installs X ray and allied equipment. This includes pre planning to determine equipment and components needed to complete the installation. This can include rebuilding the unit prior to installation. Performs radiation and electrical safety measurements on imaging and associated equipment to insure that equipment performs to accepted standards as defined by Federal BRH, State of California, and JCAHO. Designs, modifies, and fabricates changes in imaging and allied equipment to enable more efficient and safe operations of that equipment. Rebuilds X ray tube assemblies to manufacturer's specifications. Performs miscellaneous duties as directed. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Kaiser Permanente's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.

Notes: Physical work location will be Riverside Medical Service Area. Travel throughout the Inland Empire service area is required.
