The Senior Analyst, Business Processes and Applications, conducts groundbreaking research and delivers analysis and advice through written reports, consulting, client inquiry, speeches, and other deliverables. The Senior Analyst is part of our Process & Applications research team, which serves enterprise decision makers who oversee critical business processes ? in particular customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management (SCM), and human capital management (HCM) -- and the business applications that support those processes. 
 
Responsibilities: 
The Senior Analyst works as part of a small, high-performance team and collaborates with team members in all aspects of the job. He or she will: 
 
* Understand and analyze the strategy, positioning, and prospects of relevant enterprise application vendors like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce.com, Manhattan, i2, Manugistics, etc. 
* Communicate and interact at a high level with major enterprise application software vendors and enterprise customers to understand their visions and offerings. 
* Uncover best practices for driving business process innovation and transformation. 
* Keep a finger on the pulse of key process improvement methodologies and technologies that support continuous process improvement. 
* Deliver consulting assignments including presentations, written papers, and direct client interactions. 
* Provide timely telephone and email inquiry responses to queries placed by clients in these areas of expertise. 
* Provide pre-sales support via telephone and face-to-face meetings with prospects as arranged by sales and marketing teams. 
* Present at Forrester-sponsored conferences and briefings as well as Forrester teleconferences.Requirements:

* A minimum of five years of related industry experience. Candidates will come from a product or strategy role with an application software vendor, or a consulting firm that specializes in CRM, SCM, or HCM or general process improvement consulting. 
* Experience with key process and quality methodologies (i.e., Six Sigma) and enterprise application implementations. 
* Deep intellectual curiosity about how technology can be used to dramatically improve business results. 
* Strong academic record of achievement ? B.A/B.S. required, M.S. degree preferred. 
* Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and computer skills. 
* Prior experience or training in searching online databases. 
* The ability to travel 30% to 40% of the time.
