Provide patient care to include pre-, peri- and post-angioplasty procedures.2. Use product catalogs; learn house and central supply information to order supplies; and maintain satisfactory inventory levels; create schedules for the department; provide patient care follow-up by visiting the patient on a hospital floor or calling at home if the patient has been discharged; assist in other areas of Radiology as needed.This position requires graduation from a hospital-based or college radiology program; must meet minimum requirements for Washington State to apply ionizing radiation and be certification-eligible (if not certified with Washington State, will not perform venapuncture or administer diagnostic agents); current registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT); current CPR validation; a thorough knowledge of sterile techniques; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to work with highly technical equipment; quality assurance assessment skills; extensive product knowledge to be able to perform the procedures correctly and efficiently; a thorough knowledge of all medications used during interventional procedures; and the skill and ability required to achieve homeostasis following the removal of arterial/venous catheters. Completion of 12 Category "A" continuing education (CE) credits per year is also required.Preferred qualifications are national certification in Cardiac/Interventional Radiology; additional 1 year of interventional training either hospital-based or a university graduate program and a minimum two years of experience in Diagnostic Radiology.Come join the quality health care leader in Seattle.
