Our Mission Systems Group, located in Fairfax, VA, has an opportunity for a Java Developer. Perform software development and unit testing tasks in support of the sustainment of a large web-based application. Work with a team of software professionals to develop new functionality and correct defects. Follow detailed lifecycle processes, utilizing best practices for configuration control and development practices. Maintain and extend JAVA-based applications which utilize an MVC framework, an Oracle database, and a Resin application server. The following are the basic qualifications for this position: Bachelor's degree in technical field and a minimum of 4+ years of experience. An additional 4 years experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Knowledge of software lifecycle processes (CMMI).Extensive JAVA programming experience. Position may be hired at a 3/4. Final grade determination will be based on requirements of the position and qualifications of the candidate.Experience in the following areas is an asset: Travel industry experience. Progress 4GL.
