Responsible for configuration management for the DCAPES program. Responsible for configuration planning and data management. Develops policy and procedural provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software, and related documentation. Responsible for configuration change control, software builds, and software build management activities. Provides configuration management support to the change process helping to ensure only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software. Responsible for configuration status accounting. As a ClearQuest Administrator, utilizes Rational tool set of ClearQuest to track all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration. Responsible for implementing software changes to customize ClearQuest, ClearCase, and Requisite Pro to meet DCAPES program reporting/management requirements. Conducts configuration audits. Supports the Software Quality Assurance process audits. Provides configuration management support to the Change Review Board and the Configuration Control Board regarding the U.S. Air Force Deliberate and Crisis Action Planning and Execution Segments (DCAPES) Program.
Education:
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related field.
Required Skills:
Minimum 8 years of total CM experience with 4 years total experience using configuration management operations and tools (Rational suite of CM tools: Clear Quest). 2 years experience operating within a CMM/CMMI environment of at least level 2 or higher.
Desired Skills:
A minimum of 12 years experience in the software development domain involving analysis, design, and programming of business applications on complex systems for large-scale computers using programming languages such as Ada, C, C++, 4GL, Tcl/TK, JAVA, and DBMS (Oracle).
