Description
Purposes:
This position exists to serve with other gardeners in providing flower beds, Christmas displays and landscaped grounds in a manner that creates a beautiful atmosphere for those who come to Church Headquarters, to help the priesthood leaders, temple patrons, visitors, employees and directors in bringing souls to Christ. Provides work direction and technical assistance to gardeners and personally performs gardening duties. This position is
for an experienced gardener.
Responsibilities:
100% Performs grounds maintenance duties such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, watering, planting, and setting up Christmas displays. Assisting in supervising temporary help during periods of heavy planting.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
High school graduate with two years of experience in horticulture and grounds maintenance and two years college/technical training. Bachelor s degree in horticulture preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of various plants and fertilizers. Previous experience with mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, watering and planting. Ability to follow directions and work independently and with a team.
