SUMMARY:
Under general direction, the Technical Service Specialist is responsible to provide efficient, responsive and quality service to the Trane distribution sales and service organizations as it relates to product support, replacement parts, warranty issues, field product start-up, and field repair of non-conformance issues. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide efficient, responsive, quality service to the customer as it relates to product support, replacement parts, warranty issues, field product start-up, and field repair of non-conformance issues.
Responsible for professional and timely response to the customer in addressing field service issues.
Responsible for coordinating and participating in service work in the factory and the field as required.
Responsible for addressing service calls for parts replacements.
Responsible for coordinating and participating in field visits to job sites.
Document all service and repair calls and projects for implementation of root cause analysis for product quality improvement.
Manage the cost of warranty and service expenses.
Negotiate the cost and work involved in field repair service.
Develop methods and procedures to efficiently implement product service requirements.
Responsible for promoting and coordinating job start-up services.
Manage a crew (when required) to effectively address product field issues.
Manage and maintain records of field claims through Falcon.
Other duties as assigned.
 Minimum Qualifications and Competencies Qualifications 

QUALIFICATIONS:
ľMinimum of a four-year degree in engineering preferred or a bachelors degree + 2-4 years experience
ľMinimum of one-year experience in custom air unit design desired.
ľThorough knowledge of design and specifications of air handling units.
ľAbility to interface with customers in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
ľHave excellent time management and job prioritization skills.
ľStrong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
ľAbility to negotiate terms with customers, engineers, and field sales office personnel.
