 GENERAL SUMMARY: Systems Administrator will support the Technology Operations & Maintenance Infrastructure Support (TOMIS) contract for U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) in Dallas, TX. Successful candidates will provide information system solutions and technical support in one or more areas including personal computer/client server support, systems programming, applications design and development, database design and administration, telecommunications and network support and administration.
 
 PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and usage of USCIS networks nationwide; Tests and implements interface programs; Manages network performance and maintains network security; Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced; Evaluates, develops, and maintains telecommunications systems; Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to ensure minimal disruption of mission-critical applications; Establishes network policies and procedures regarding access methods and time, security validation checks, and documentation; Researches hardware and software issues regarding the network; Maintains fault-tolerant systems and manages system backups.
 

 Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
 
 Candidate must be ITIL Foundation certified or capable of obtaining ITIL Foundation level certification within 60 days of hire (training provided at employer expense).
 

 Requires 5-8 years of related experience in systems analysis. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in systems analysis and design. Proficiency in the use of one or more specific technologies may be required, depending on job assignment. 
 
 Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
 

 LOCAL TRAVEL REQUIRED.
 
 WORKING CONDITIONS: The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. Must be able to lift and carry at least 30-50 lbs.
