Software Developer ? Embedded Software Engineer


A top-tier technology companyserving the big energy giants, with over 30,000 units on the market is seeking a highly motivated full time, senior level Software Developer to maintainimplement software components. 



Position Qualifications:

-5+ years experience

-Familiarity with a Unix-style command line build environment 

-Knowledge of the Windows NT Development environment 

-Command line interface experience in environments other than Unix (Example, KORN shell using a Windows NT machine) 

-Embedded programming experience with C and C+ 

-Capable of troubleshooting and creating make files 

-Familiarity with reading a schematic?enough to be aware of the relationship of hardware and software 

-Fundamental TCP/IP and networking of XML 

-Capability to install and maintain Linux and Windows workstations

-Must be self-sufficient and a quick learner. 


 

Additional Helpful Qualifications:

-Knowledge of a control network protocol like: MODBUS, EchelonLONWorks, CAN, etc

-Advanced familiarity of Perl (or another similar language) 

-Working knowledge of Unix/Linux web servers and applications associated with these servers

- .NET frameworkMicrosoft Visual Studio experience

- Mesh networking, control, and RF communications experience a plus (examples include: WiFi, Zigbee, ZWave, etc)
