Description
In this position, you will be a member of the technology development within NAND Products Group's (NPG) Quality and Reliability (Q&R) team that supports development of state-of-the art Multi level cell (MLC) NAND Flash technologies and products. Specifically the responsibilities cover fingerprinting flash array reliability including degradation of array parameters due to program and/or erase cycling; various data retention and/or disturb mechanisms. You will be designing and executing experiments to characterize and model flash memory array reliability mechanisms including failure rate estimation for specific usage. You will be analyzing data and summarizing the findings and collaborate with other project team members in brainstorming and helping with solutions thru process, design and/or test improvements.
Qualifications
You should possess a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and/or Physics or a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Physics degree with atleast two years of relevant work experience. Additional qualifications include:
- Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics, fab process technologies and basic theory of probability and statistics
- Proficiency in computer programming for data acquisition, reduction and analysis including software tools such as Excel*, JMP*
- Working knowledge of programming languages such as C and/or C++, experience in script writing (Perl, AREXX*, RS1* and/or RPL*, Excel* Visual Basic* and others)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience including hands-on work characterizing reliability of flash memory, phase change memory and other Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) devices
