Job Position Details

Job Title: LABORATORY ASSISTANT - CENTRAL PROCESSING PRN - SIGN ON BONUS $500

Location: Norman, OK

Company: Norman Regional Hospital

Retrieves specimens from pneumatic tube stations. Places specimens on front end automation. Labels and documents receipt of specimens that are not placed on automation line. Sets up microbiology specimens, performs some specimen analysis, and aliquots specimens for shipment to reference laboratories. Understands shipping requirements. 
 


Job Requirements:

 

 

High school education or equivalent. Requires some knowledge of medical terminology. 3 months phlebotomy experience, or a phlebotomy certificate with 32 hours of clinical rotation, or 6 months experience in a medical field providing patient care which includes drawing blood. Valid Oklahoma State Driver's license and a good driving record.
