Performs all functions necessary to register patients for treatment in the Emergency Department. Changes Emergency Department patients to inpatient or observation and compiles all additional related paperwork for the patient chart.
Job Requirements:
High School education or the equivalent GED. Prefer course work in medical terminology. Six months clerical and customer service experience required. Some computer experience required. Prefer medical and insurance experience.Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
