As a Project Lead in Structural Engineering Services, you will be working on the production of construction documents for our multi-unit clients. You will work both independently and within a team to perform advanced level tasks and research issues. Using advanced knowledge of Structural Engineering, you will use CAD or other software to make project changes in accordance with client requirements, code requirements, standards, and site adjustments. You will review and verify CAD layouts of structures to meet geometric, strength, and economic requirements. This role requires significant exercise of judgment on details relative to the completion of construction plans, such as modifications needed, and will perform calculations and/or review the work of others to ensure appropriateness, accuracy, and completeness of a project’s structural design. You will be expected to train, assist, and provide team direction and instruction to produce a complete set of construction documents for projects. You will work under a team Job Captain and report directly to the A/E Studio Manager. You will be responsible for your specific discipline section of a project, meeting established timeframes and ensuring the total project deliverables exceeds the expectations of our clientsKEY COMPETENCIES, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED- 4 year Bachelors degree in Civil, Structural engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent knowledge gained from education and/or work experience- At least 3-5 years work experience in Structural engineering- At least 3 years experience working on production of construction documents- At least 3 years experience working in a cross functional team environment- Proficiency in the current version of AutoCAD or Microstation software- Proficiency with Microsoft “Office” suite of programs- Knowledge and understanding of Structural Engineering code- Demonstrated competence with the A/E design process and high level knowledge of specification development leading to complete construction documents- Familiarity with commonly utilized calculation and compliance software/techniques relevant to job function- Ability to follow instruction from team members- Ability to delegate tasks through clear and concise communication to team members- Ability to multi-task on various stages of projects while meeting specified deadlines on each project- Engineering intern (EI) certificate or PE Preferred
