Responsible for the Human Resources function for coworkers and management in an assigned area including employee relations, compensation and benefits administration, recruitment and succession support and learning and development activities.
Goals
·Serve as a Business Partner with managers to develop, implement and meet assigned HR goals and objectives.
·Counsel, coach, advise and train managers on HR issues, regulations and responsibilities, including investigate and resolve grievances, allegations, charges and complaints.
·Partner with managers on coworker relations, corrective action, continuous improvement and ongoing development processes.
·Manage the unemployment and workers' compensation processes, including representing company at hearings.
·Collect, analyze and evaluate data and make recommendations to management to develop HR strategies, monitor and measure job satisfaction and coworker morale.
·Prepare and maintain required reporting.
·Devise and develop methods, measures and communications to implement and monitor IKEA policies and programs and ensure compliance with federal and state laws and IKEA's practices in accordance with the HR Ideas.
·Assess effectiveness of current and future training needs and ensure use of development plans
·Provide career development counseling, assistance and guidance to coworkers.
·Support store and Service Office in the communications, administration and implementation of HR programs, including researching and responding to questions/problems.
·Work with peers concerning market specific initiatives or events.
·Project manage local and Service Office initiatives and programs (merit process, recognition, VOICE, open enrollment, new process and plan rollouts) individually or as a member of a team
·Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers.
Requirements You Have:
·Proven interpersonal, communications, analytical, problem solving, organization skills.
·Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and 3-5 years professional HR Generalist experience or five to seven years HR experience or 3 years IKEA management experience and a HR certificate.
·In-depth knowledge and understanding of local and federal regulations governing HR, Compensation and Benefits.
·HR certificate and PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
·Prior HR professional experience in a retail and/or distribution environment preferred.
·A clear understanding of the IKEA HR Idea and a passion for IKEA values and principals.
·Interest in home furnishings.
